Understanding Agricultural Liability – Maryland’s Right-to-Farm Law
This fact sheet provides an overview of Maryland’s right-to-farm (RTF) law and county ordinances, the defense provided by them, exclusions to the defense, and the prerequisites to bringing a nuisance suit. As of this fact sheet’s publication in June 2013, no court in Maryland has interpreted any provisions in the state’s RTF law.
